Your rudder and tiller ensure balance and steerage comfort. Performance will be rewarded using the correct pintles and gudgeons, pins and rings, joints and clips, and the famous Ronstan Battlesticks tillers and extensions. Pintles are used on rudders to permit pivoting and hingeing using a pin. Gudgeons are used to attach rudders and allow them to swing freely using a hole for the pin on the pintle. Pins are used with pintles to connect to the gudgeon. Tiller joints are used to connect the tiller with an extension for improved control. Tiller clips are used when you put the extension down and just steer with the tiller.
