Payment and Purchase Policy
Anchor Marine discloses on this website our postal and email addresses together with the status of our business registrations.
In order to help you -our customers make informed purchase decisions, the goods and services being offered are described in detail, and in a legal sense, this is a willingness by us to negotiate without being bound to continue and thus can be amended by us at any time.
All prices shown are in Australian Dollars. All payments for purchase are in Australian Dollars.
All our prices are shown with GST inclusive. (Goods and Services Tax = 10%) This is shown as the total of your purchase in your shopping cart and on your invoice.
Secure Payment Systems.
Anchor Marine will only offer an Encrypted Payment system that is commonly agreed to be easy to use, secure and protect you, as far as can reasonably be seen, from theft and fraud.
In a legal sense entering the payment system is an offer by the consumer to voluntarily enter into a contract to buy the goods and services selected.
Anchor Marine reserves the right to reject the offer to buy and refund the payment. This may be necessary in case we cannot supply the goods due to unforeseen circumstances. At present Anchor uses PayPal for processing our online payments. You can purchase through PayPal or use your credit or debit card. PayPal can offer you, our customer Buyer Protection which we consider a very worthwhile option when purchasing online. Anchor Marine receives our payment for your purchase through PayPal. PayPal monitors every transaction 24/7 to help prevent fraud, email phishing, and identity theft. Your transaction is heavily guarded behind next-level encryption. If something seems suspicious, PayPal’s dedicated team of security specialists is immediately on it to help protect you from fraudulent transactions.
Cash on Delivery/Pick-up
We regret this is no longer available.
We can arrange for you to pay via online bank transfer direct into our account upon request for either an order to be delivered to you or to be collected at our pick-up point. Please contact us to arrange an order and payment.
Order Confirmation Process.
Anchor Marine’s purchase confirmation process gives you an opportunity to see what is in the shopping cart before submitting payment. If you have registered for an account –provided us with an email address, name, and shipping address you will receive 20% off the total value of your purchase $50.00 and over (excluding any clearance or reduced item priced product) There may be additional special promotion discounts to be subtracted. All of the above will be shown and a total cost displayed before entering the payment system. Freight is free if your total cart value less discount is $75.00 and over.
You will then move forward to pay for your purchase. We suggest you check your cart prior to this step. We will contact you if we see something that looks a bit weird on your order –normally caused by fat thumb syndrome or an overzealous mouse.
Ordering and Dispatch
We understand you need your order delivered quickly. We aim to dispatch your order within 36 hours Monday to Friday. Orders received over the weekend may be prepared for Monday’s dispatch. FREE Click and Collect is temporarily unavailable.
From time to time we may find that our store is out of stock of some items and will be in re-order status with our suppliers. Our aim will be to escalate priority to fulfill your order to ensure we dispatch to you within 5 days. If this is the case you will be advised expected shipment date. If due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot pick up and pack your goods for dispatch within 5 business days of your order we will email you and negotiate a range of options including cancelation of your order and refund of all monies paid.
All chemical products such as resins and paints with a volume great than 1 liter in total can only be purchased using “Click and Collect” from our pick-up point. This is due to the hazard risk associated with general freight. Specialized Couriers can be arranged but we find the cost is extremely expensive for the volume units that we offer and for what our customers seek to purchase.
Shipping or FREE Click and Collect
Shipping is Free for you if your cart totals $75.00 or over.
Australia Post generally delivers to capital cities within 3-5 days. Our warehouse is based in Melbourne, Victoria so we see most Melbourne metro addresses delivered within 3 days as a general find. Beyond these locations, we recommend you allow 7 days.
If you are in a real hurry you can purchase Express Shipping for $14.95 for under 1kg. Australia Post guarantees major cities overnight and an extra 24 hours for everywhere else. Do we? It is out of our control but we do see delivery occur well within 3 business days.
Anchor Marine uses Australia Post to send your purchase if it is under 5kg.
For anything above this weight, we will seek the most efficient, economical, and reliable method.
Currently, shipping is only available within Australia.
We have tried to keep shipping uncomplicated for ease of use. We aim to ship within 36 hours of receipt of the order. Sometimes we are delayed due to processing limitations, packing limitations, and stock availability. Some items are made to order, can be ordered, or require additional servicing before they are sent to you. This will be indicated in the order. If something unforeseen happens we will advise you ASAP and will await your instruction.
Your parcel will be issued with a tracking number so that you can follow its path to you. We suggest you use the AusPost App with the same email address you provide us to ensure you can stay informed at all times.
Please advise any additional delivery instructions when you check out and we will do our best to ensure these are carried out.
If you suddenly need to change your shipping details after your order has been processed but have not yet received tracking advice that your purchase has been shipped you can contact us and we will do our best to re-arrange things.
While we do everything we can to ensure your order is delivered in a timely manner we will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by any person as a result of a delay caused by the selected carrier or by any event which is out of our reasonable control or foresight including but not limited to any delay caused by an incorrect delivery address provided to us or failure to be in attendance to receive delivery.
FREE Click and Collect @ our convenient Sandringham pick-up point (Temporarily Unavailable)
All chemical products such as resins and paints over 1 Litre can only be purchased using “Click and Collect”.
You can select the option “Click and Collect” to pick up your purchase at our convenient Sandringham pick-up point which is open most days.
We will advise you after packing your order on the location, date, and time of pickup Monday to Sunday. If this is not suitable we will try to accommodate your preferences.
We will remind you after 7 days your purchase is awaiting collection. There will be no further notification.
If purchases have not been collected within 14 days of notification they will be deemed to have been abandoned.
Incorrect Product ordered for Requirement
If you ordered the incorrect product for your requirements we will accept the goods back for exchange or refund within 14 days of the original purchase provided the items are not bespoke or cut to measure.
You must contact us stating your original order number, date of purchase and date received. Feel free to include images. Please include the reason you wish to return.
Do not return to us without seeking authorization.
Please return your item unused using Australia Post complete with all packaging and accessories. We will not accept returns without original packaging and ticketing.
Please ensure you pack your item securely to prevent damage in transit.
Anchor Marine will not be responsible for your return shipping costs for return.
If your return arrives back to us damaged we will be unable to issue an exchange or refund.

Exchange shipping costs will be incurred. We will contact you for payment prior to the dispatch of your exchange.
Incorrect Product received
If we have shipped an incorrect product to what you have ordered we apologize and request you immediately advise us. We will issue authorization and return shipping to print and place on your parcel so that you are not out of pocket for shipping costs. As soon as we receive your return and verify it is not what you ordered, we will dispatch the correct product to you.
No goods will be accepted without a shipping label provided by Anchor Marine.
Request to Return for a Refund
If you have changed your mind about your purchase since placing your order and receiving it, you can request authorization to return it. Please include the reason you wish to return and include your original order number, date of purchase, and date received.
Please note that Anchor Marine is not obligated to issue approval for a return and refund for your purchase if you have changed your mind.
Once your return is received at Anchor Marine, we will inspect it and send you an email to advise you that we have received your return. A refund will be issued within 48 hours using the method of payment for your purchase. If you have not received your refund within 4 days please contact us.
Defective / Damaged Items
We may repair or replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item please request this via email. Please include the reason you wish to return and include your original order number, date of purchase, and date received.
We will confirm and issue instructions to return to us including a shipping label to print and attach to your parcel. No goods will be accepted without a shipping label provided by Anchor Marine.
Do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer unless you have been advised by Anchor Marine.
If we are unable to replace or repair a defective or damaged item you will be advised and we will issue you a refund including original shipping costs within 48 hours of receipt of your return to us.
Our Returns policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law because we want you to have the correct purchase solution for your requirements.
Anchor Marine makes considerable efforts to select and produce items for sale.
We acknowledge that some products may have faults not visible at dispatch.
In the event of a fault, you may under Australian Consumer Law be entitled to have the goods repaired, exchanged, or to receive a refund.
We reserve the right to assess the failure as minor and we will arrange for another skilled craftsman to repair it and therefore will not offer a refund or exchange.
In the event of fault, the return of the goods is to our account but the claimant must provide proof of purchase and await our instructions for the return.
Where an item has a manufacturer’s warranty that exceeds one (1) year this will be advertised next to the product. For some product assessments, you may have the option to liaise directly with the manufacturer or their repair agent. For any reason please contact Anchor Marine as soon as you have any concerns regarding the item(s) you have purchased.
Transparency and Protections.
Please be advised that Anchor Marine does not store any of your card details. If a refund is to be issued it is managed through our PayPal portal. It is here that your transaction and card details are stored –this is mandatory by law. We cannot see these details other than a synopsis of numbers for reference to ensure the correct card is allocated the correct refund. We may have to contact you by phone to accept an over-the-phone payment if additional goods or freight are purchased. This is completed in real time direct to our PayPal payment portal. No card number and its details are written or stored.
We respect our consumer’s privacy and maintain a policy on the collection and use of private information.
